Growing up on a ranch in the Black Hills of Northeastern Wyoming has provided me with a vast source of inspiration.  I am haunted by the spirit of place.  The evidence of Native American culture is everywhere in many manifestations.

Painting is a process of bringing order and form to chaos.  It is a way of embracing the unknown forces that surround and invade us.  When I paint I let the process take over and become a conduit guided by the images that appear.  Through this process I gain a deeper understanding of myself.  I paint to see what I see when I paint.
